BROKE FORDWICH LITTLE BIT OF ITALY FESTIVAL - 4&5 APRIL, 2009

It is a weekend long celebration of food, wine and fun – Italian Style. The whole region will be offering a range of experiences from olive picking, bocce games (Italian bowls) to wine tasting and pasta making courses. Enjoy great Italian food, local wines and live entertainment.

Here at Margan we will be offering a fantastic Italian menu for lunch in the restaurant matched with a quality selection of Italian wines by the glass (including our own home grown Barbera). HUNTER VALLEY SEAFOOD AND SEMILLON - 17, 18 & 19 APRIL, 2009

This annual event is a celebration of one of the great food and wine partnerships- Semillon and Seafood. The core event is held at Tyrrells Winery which showcases over 150 semillons from pretty well all of the Hunter’s producers. Here at Margan we have assembled a vertical line up of Semillons from a range of vintages for you to try in our tasting room or to enjoy with a seafood tasting plate that we have created specially for this weekend. Be sure to reserve your restaurant table now as this is a busy weekend in the Hunter Valley!

MARGAN BARREL HALL SALE & OPEN-DAY JUNE 6,7&8, 2009

We open the winery up to you! Learn a little on the ‘behind the scenes’ winery tour. Come and meet our winemaking team and taste a range of limited and museum release wines. Participate in a hands-on wine blending session. Chat to our vineyard crew about viticulture. And of course, enjoy a relaxed lunch in the restaurant washed down with your favourite Margan wine. MARGAN WINERY TOURS FOR BARREL ROOM MEMBERS

Tour of the Margan Winery, including sampling wine from barrel and tank, conducted by a knowledgeable Margan tour operator. Tours conducted every Saturday at 3.00pm and every Sunday at 11am. This is restricted to Barrel Room Members, but to qualify as a member, you only need to purchase one dozen Margan wines, and complete membership form. BROKE VILLAGE FAIR AND VINTAGE CAR SHOW

Bring the family for a day out at the Broke Village Fair and Vintage Car Display. Over 300 Vintage cars and motorcycles from all over NSW will be on display. Take a look at the “old” farm machinery; perhaps granddad might remember using some of them! The kids will enjoy the rides and mum and dad can wander through the stalls displaying woodwork and craft items. Food and Drink stalls will also be available to feed the hungry ones. The Broke Village Fair is held annually to raise funds for local charities which include – The Broke Rural Fire Service, The Combined Churches, and the Broke Hall Committee. An annual attendance rate of over 10,000 people, continue to guarantee its popularity and reputation as a great day out.
