Hi Virginia & all Margan Staff,
Our wedding day was magical. Everything went so smoothly and the time at Margan was over in a flash. You have been so helpful with getting things organised and I know its probably a bit repetitive for you, but practice really does make perfect. I heard a rumour after the night that the Chef had left and that the owner was cooking for us on the night. I had no idea and I think it is a credit to who ever stepped in that the quality was fantastic and I enjoyed every mouthful!
As far as i could tell everything went off very well - though I am sure that I was shielded from anything that may have not worked out! the day was a bit of a blur even though I tried to slow it down! In terms of feedback from margan there are a couple of things that really stick in my mind. One is that the service was fantastic I just adored the pate but only had one small piece, when I asked if there was more a whole plate came out just for me (must have been the white dress!). The room was set up beautifully, Mum kept on saying that "Virginia has done exactly as I have asked her to do - I can't believe it!" so I would take that as a compliment!
I would love to say how wonderful the food was but to be honest I really was in no mood for eating and what I did eat I could taste little of (except the pate!) there were rave reviews from the guests so I think that is a 10/10.
It was a fantastic day and thank you for your efforts in pulling it altogether. I really appreciate how easy you made it for us. Oh and thank you for your generosity in providing all those bottles of wines to Mum and Dad for tasting - that was really unnecessary but a lovely touch!
