Dear Andrew & Lisa,
This letter is to thank the team at Margan for such a wonderful night on New Year's Eve 2008. My daughter Jade and her husband Richard, could not have chosen a better venue for their wedding reception than your beautiful vineyard. Fantastic wine, wonderful food, the most efficient and attentive staff, and not to forget the millions of stars in the sky that evening, that I am sure were pre ordered by the incomparable Virgina Upward, along with the perfect weather.
Planning a wedding in the Hunter Valley from Sydney I thought would be no easy task. Having my eldest daughter married in Sydney a few years ago, I knew the stress and large amount of work involved was enormous. I have been proved wrong. With Virginia's help we were extremely organised, she is definitely a problem solver, putting us in touch with everyone from deacons to bands, to bus companies, relieving panic on my part. The Barrel Room at Margan looked amazing, our instructions followed to the letter and when Jade and Richard saw it prior to dinner, they were so very, very happy. It was just what my beautiful daughter had envisioned and brought a huge smile to her face, she was so excited to see it looking so perfect.
Our guests kept asking me "how did you find this place, it fabulous", with many commenting that they had NEVER had such a wonderful New Year's Eve. Everyone I spoke to was impressed with the venue, the staff, the wine, the food, so please thank your chef and his staff, your bar and wait staff, on my behalf and let them know how they contributed to making this night so special. What else can I say, it would take pages to go over the whole night with the amazing memories we will have of this wedding. The fireworks at midnight lighting up the sky, dancing to Saxanova in the courtyard under the stars, the continuous happiness on Jade and Richard's faces, not only because it was their wedding day, but because it was everything they wanted. They had the best night of their lives.
Again Andrew & Lisa, thank you and your team for the perfect wedding and the perfect New Years Eve, it's a memory I will have forever, and rest assured that I will be visiting Margan again for one of your delicious lunches with friends, over a good bottle of Margan or See Saw (a big favourite of Jade and Richard's and now one of mine).
