2021 Fordwich Hill Semillon – 95 Points

“If in doubt about the veracity of terroir, one only has to compare this to its edgier Ceres Hill sibling. Both lightweight, the textural similarities end there. This, more mellifluous. Greater flow, length of finish and ease of drinkability. Aromas of icy pole, lemon grass and tonic. This, too, will grow in stature with time. But it is already delicious.” Ned Goodwin MW

2021 Ceres Hill Semillon – 93 Points

“From an east-facing Ceres Hill proprietary block, on grey clay. An exceptional vintage for Hunter whites, this wields a forceful skein of talcy acidity, gently chewy, to corral verdant scents of hedgerow, greengage and bell pepper. Shins and elbows today, the crux of the wine is the sheer, muscular intensity. I have little doubt that this will age well. Smoother contours will come in time.” Ned Goodwin MW
