2018 Breaking Ground Mourvedre
NEW RELEASE

Wine Profile
Our Breaking Ground Range celebrates our focus on innovation pioneering alternative wines and wine styles. The grapes for this wine were picked from a single block off the old Saxonvale vineyard growing on the red volcanic soil of the Fordwich Sill. In 2018 the quality of Mourvedre was exceptional, we hand picked a couple of the rows of Mourvedre and kept it separate through ferment and maturation. 18 months later we deemed the quality of this batch high enough to bottle as a straight Mourvedre. It is the first and the only Mourvedre made in the Hunter.
