Margan Restaurant is a leading Hunter Valley Restaurant and have pioneered Agri Dining since opening our doors in 2007. Our Dining Room is open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and we offer a five-course degustation menu, showcasing the estate grown and made produce from our vineyard and farm, here in Broke. We harvest from our one-hectare kitchen garden & orchard, free range chickens, bee hives, reared lambs and olives groves to maintain a hyper-local and truly seasonal focus.
We are proud to be one of the ‘must do’ restaurants in the Hunter Valley with a consistent annual Good Food Guide recommendation (One Chef Hat), and regionally awarded in Gourmet Traveller, Top Australian Restaurant Guide. Our wine list features Margan wines plus local, National and International favourites and is continually awarded 2 Wine Glasses (Australian Wine List of the Year Awards)
Choose from our classic degustation menu, featuring estate grown and local produce, seafood and meat or select our garden inspired plant-based menu, suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Dining: We can’t operate at full capacity yet so to accommodate dining requests at lunch we offer two, two-hour sittings with time for sanitisation of all areas pre and post dining.
Checking in: Please arrive a few minutes early for your reservations to check in. Our degustation is served at a leisurely pace over two hours so if you are late, you may not have time to relax and enjoy your five courses. Please contact us if you are delayed.
Payment: We are not allowed full capacity of guests so we require full pre-payment to reserve your booking.
Cancellation: We understand that sometimes things happen and you may need to amend, reschedule or cancel your reservation. If we receive notification of cancellation:
• 7 or more days in advance, a full refund (minus any credit card surcharges) will be provided.
• Less than one week, an 80% refund will be provided.
• After 12pm on the Thursday before your booking, we are unable to provide a refund. If you prefer to reschedule rather than cancel please let us know.
• All cancellations, amendments and rescheduling requests need to be in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Gratuity: A discretionary 8% service charge is applied to all tables of 10 to 30 guests (reducing to 5% for groups of 31 guests onward) as a gratuity paid directly to our staff.
Children: Mini Foodies are always welcome to dine with us at Margan, but because they are included in the total number of guests allowed we have limited availability for children under 12 years. Young adults (over 12 years) will be served our degustation menu and need to be booked in accordingly.
COVID: Please adhere with instructions as directed by our team during your visit. If you feel ill with flu-like symptoms, please do not visit us.
