Margan Wine Dinner - Meribella Terrigal

Experience the best of Australian winemaking with Meribella’s 2024 Meet the Maker series, a unique opportunity to hear the stories and philosophies of the industry’s best. In the inaugural event of the series, guests will be taken on a culinary journey with a special 4-course degustation menu from Head Chef Joshua Mason, paired with vintages from the Margan estate.

Rose Garden Party at Customs House

Join us at Customs House and Rose all day with friends overlooking the beautiful Newcastle Harbour to celebrate Newcastle Food Month. Taste five amazing wines paired with a Mediterranean style tapas menu. Enjoy our latest Margan 'Rose & Bramble' Rosé alongside some of the Hunter Valley's finest, including our friends at Charteris, DeIuliis, First Creek, and Mercer. All set amongst the back drop of the beautiful Customs House.

Meat Your Maker - A Wine and Beef Showcase

Experience a 5-course tasting menu featuring the best local beef, paired with Margan Wines and Akasha Barrel-aged beers. Meet Winemaker Ollie Margan and Akasha Owner/Brewer Dave Padden for insights into wine making and brewing. Executive Chef Sam Orpin presents a tailored meal showcasing Hunter region's finest beef and produce. Limited dietary accommodations are available (gluten only). No vegetarian or vegan options.

Inclusions: Five-course meal with paired wines by Margan Wines and Barrel Aged Beers by Akasha.

Twilight Drinks & Small Plates Dining

Enjoy alfresco dining with a casual wine bar feel in our striking Margan Courtyard and Cellar Door, available every Friday and Saturday evening (5:00pm-10:00pm). Celebrate those lazy evenings by selecting from a tasty food menu of small plates, served share-style. Match with a range of cocktails, beer and wine, and relax with some good company. 

Perfect to enjoy as pre-dinner drinks and bar snacks before dining in the restaurant, or simply spend some time lingering under the stars and make an evening of it.

The ultimate day out for food and wine lovers! With a glass of sparkling in hand, take a behind the scenes tour of our one hectare organic kitchen garden, and into the winery where you’ll get a sneak preview of some wines still in barrel and tank. Your tour concludes with our signature five-course tasting menu.
